· The rain will return to Tarragona in the next few hours
The popular saying already says: in April, waters thousand. Thus, the weekend is going to be very unstable, with the arrival of successive storms that will leave abundant rainfall in almost the entire country with temperatures that are still cold, although from Sunday they tend to soften. It will be a “very rainy weekend throughout the country, especially this Friday and Saturday”, Rubén Del Campo, spokesman for the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), has advanced, to qualify that on Sunday it will only rain in the north of the peninsula, “waiting for new storms for next week”.
Tomorrow the storm will continue to leave an unstable environment in practically the entire geography, with winds from the southwest and west that will blow strongly on the coast and with a slightly higher snow level than in previous days, which will be between 1,2000 and 1,500 meters. Also for tomorrow, the Aemet maintains the yellow alert activated in six communities -Catalonia, Aragón, Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León and La Rioja- due to rains, which will accumulate up to 40 liters per square meter in 12 hours, or due to snow.
Regarding temperatures, in general, they will be lower than normal almost all weekend, which will favor snowfall in mountain areas, although from Sunday a progressive rise in values begins, with maximums already more typical for this April at the end of next week.
On Sunday the temperatures will tend to a “practically generalized rise”, which may be notable in much of the interior of the Peninsula; the minimum will rise in the north of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, and decreases will predominate in the rest.
During “next Monday the atmospheric stability of Sunday will persist”, with values that rise in a generalized way, more normal for the time, and that will already mark 20 degrees in almost the entire country, and even 25 degrees in Murcia, Del Campo has observed. .
As of Tuesday, a new Atlantic storm will approach the northwest of the Peninsula, giving rise to rains in the entire northwestern area; in the rest cloudy intervals are expected, in the interior and showers and scattered storms in mountainous areas of the peninsular east.
Wednesday and Thursday will be “the most unstable days” with rains in large areas, more intense in the northeast of the peninsula; As of Friday, a certain stabilization is expected, reducing the extent and intensity of rainfall, although they will still be likely in the eastern Cantabrian Sea, the Pyrenees and northeast Catalonia.
