After the success of the first edition of the Llorenç Beach Soccer Cup that was played in mid-April, the Club Futbol Platja Torredembarra (CFPT) once again offers a new beach soccer competition: the Dreams Come True Cup. The first official national competition beach soccer for the Prebenjamín/Benjamín and Alevín/Infantil youth categories, which will land on the Paella beach in Torredembarra on June 25 and 26 under the umbrella of the Dreams Come True platform, and with the collaboration of Enzo10 and the Town hall of the town.
The organization continues in the strategic process of promoting and evolving beach soccer at a national and international level and returning Torredembarra to the place it deserves in the calendar of competitions for the sport. This is explained by the president of the entity and head of Dreams Come True, Llorenç Gómez, who is “very happy to continue giving opportunities to the little ones in the fields of fun, learning and training.”
The Catalan coach is also “very proud of the path we are traveling, a very difficult and costly path in which a lot of energy has to be dedicated to take steps forward. What we are giving with this first edition of the Dreams Come True Cup is a giant and it is going to mark a before and after».
The idea is to establish the competition and make it continue to grow in the coming years, in addition to giving continuity to the summer camps and training sessions for lower categories that the Dreams Come True platform, led by Llorenç Gómez himself, carries out during the months of July and August in different points of the Spanish geography. An activity that every summer welcomes hundreds of boys and girls, where values, respect and the fundamental principles of life, both human and sporting, are the basic pillar. It combines training, competitions, games, activities and many other experiences that help them to continue improving their personal and sports training, with the participation and advice of the best professionals.
The registration period for this first edition of the Dreams Come True Cup ends on May 31.
On the other hand, the footballer, together with his sister, the journalist Carla Gómez and the illustrator Miki Pérez, have opened a ‘crowdfunding’ project for the publication of the book ‘The smile of Llorenç’. A story that takes the figure of the elite athlete Llorenç Gómez as the protagonist but not from his professional career but from the values that he learned as a child like any other who has to deal with his own fears and insecurities to be able to love himself as is. it is.
The project needs 5,625 euros of which 52% have been collected. There are ten days left to participate through the edita.es website.
