The price of gasoline and diesel remains stable after Easter

The price of gasoline and diesel has remained stable after the Easter holidays, relatively contained due to the mandatory discount of 20 cents per liter approved by the Government that is applied at service stations when paying at the till.

According to data released this Thursday by the European Union (EU) Oil Bulletin, which includes the average price registered at more than 11,400 Spanish service stations between April 19 and 25, gasoline is sold in Spain -once applied the discount – at an average of 1,617 euros per liter, while diesel does so at 1,647 euros. However, if the discount approved a few weeks ago by the Government in the framework of the national response plan to the economic and social consequences of the war in Ukraine is excluded, gasoline reaches a price of 1,817 euros per liter, the third highest value highest in history, while diesel marks 1,847 euros, a new record. With these prices, the cost of diesel, which again exceeds that of gasoline for the fourth consecutive week, rises 2.1% compared to the week of April 11, the last with available data, while gasoline is 1 .7% more expensive.
