The Gran Teatre de Liceu has escorted the Terres de l’Ebre to pose in marxa this year for the program El Liceu als Centres, an initiative that aims to appropriate opera, music in general and the performing arts to students of all ages. Així, hundreds of schoolchildren from Móra la Nova, Gandesa, Horta de Sant Joan, Bot, Pinell de Brai and Corbera d’Ebre take part throughout the course in a project of artistic, musical and cultural discovery, based on l’spectacle ‘La Cuina de Rossini’.
It is the tract of a proposal premiered at the Liceu this season 2011-2022, aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old, with fragments of operas by Rossini and with a drama that exploits the idea that the author was also a great lover of good cuisine. «S’hi treballa from music, to the arts plàstiques passant pel medi natural i molts altres àmbits», details the Diari Jordina Oriols, cap dels serveis educatius del Liceu.
The ebrencs students are going to travel to Barcelona to see the work at the Liceu, last February, during this week there are various professionals from the Liceu who have traveled to the Ribera d’Ebre and Terra Alta, to participate actively in the classes.
During this Artistic Week, a scenographer is working in the classroom with the students of the institute-school 3 d’Abril de Móra la Nova, on more aspects of plastic arts. The students of the Puig i Cavaller school in Gandesa and the Montsagre d’Horta school in Sant Joan are striving, due to this band, aspects of the choreographies, while the students of the ZER Terra Alta Center, from the towns of Bot, Pinell de Brai and Corbera d’Ebre, participate in musical workshops. Ahir, l’institut-escola de Móra la Nova goes over the visit of the general director of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Valentí Oviedo. For the proper course, the program will continue to more territories of Catalonia, while in Terres de l’Ebre it will also be extended to secondary school students.
