Sandra González Rodríguez has died this Tuesday night, as confirmed by sources from the Vila-seca City Council. The non-attached councilor (she entered this legislature under the acronym of Ciutadans) was just 42 years old, but she could not savor them as she was trying to overcome an illness that has been with her. She leaves behind a husband and two children.
Born on April 14, 1980, Sandra was a person deeply rooted in Vila-seca. In 2014 she began her political first steps at the hands of her friend and head of her list, Juan Antonio Ramírez, who saw in her a person capable of assuming public management and being able to contribute her leadership capacity in any area that They will assign you.
Graduated in Social Work and with a master’s degree in Administrative Management and Leadership, she was working in a company that cares for people in situations of dependency and family. In fact, the social aspect was one of the areas that most attracted him from her public vocation.
From the hand of Ciutadans he did not enter the last legislature neither in the City Council nor in the Parliament, in which he was also part of the lists. In 2019 he did agree to the consistory and from there he has carried out work in social matters, although always on the opposition bench.
After the Christmas holidays, Ciutadans de Vila-seca dissolved. The five mayors left the acronym and went to the unassigned group. Among them Sandra González. All the components created a platform called Vila-seca Som Tots, where they went hand in hand with the PSC to be able to present themselves in the 2023 elections and to be able to reach the Mayor’s Office.
Sandra was part of this project, Juan Antonio Ramírez recognized yesterday, who was still dismayed by the loss of a friend, as well as a political partner.
On Friday there is a plenary session at the Town Hall and possibly there will be a minute of silence and a warm reminder to Sandra González, who has died tonight as a result of illness.
