The population of l’Ampolla is prepared for one of the most attractive and crowded gastronomic cites in Terres de l’Ebre. The Diada de l’Ostra up this proper diumenge May 8 to the seventeenth edition, consolidated as a reference of cuisine and tourism to the Delta de l’Ebre.
After two years senseless having-been able to celebrate due to the pandemic, the fishing port of the Baix Ebre municipality will once again welcome thousands of visitors, ready to taste one of the exquisite dishes that the territory offers. Specifically, the tickets (7 euros), which can be purchased at the mateix port, include the tasting of five raw oysters and a glass of cava. I also haurà a show of plats amb aquest producte com a protagonist, i music en viu.
In total, the organization plans to distribute some 2,500 kilos of oysters, produced to the agricultural exploitations of the Badies del Fangar i els Alfacs. Currently, about 500,000 kilos of high-quality oysters are produced each year in the Delta, according to the Federation of Molluscan Producers (Fepromodel).
To celebrate the recovery of the festival after the pandemic, the Regidoria de Turisme de l’Ajuntament de l’Ampolla has organized a contest through the Instagram social network. Hi haurà dues people guanyadores, each one of them will get two menus from the Jornades Gastronòmiques de l’Ostra.
One day apart from the great festival, the dissabte May 7, the municipality will also donate the tret of sortida to these 31 Jornades Gastronòmiques de l’Ostra, which will take place every weekend on May 22. Enguany, s’hi has adhered to 14 local restaurants. It belongs to Bama Restaurant-Beach Club, Botavara, Can Piñana, Casa David, Casa Llambrich–Juani, Club Nàutic–Casa Montero, La Barraca, La Pesquera, La Roca Plana, Lo Goleró, Del Mar–Flamingo, Rodamar, Sol i Typical Taperia. Among the proposals that include the menus prepared for the occasion, diners will be able to taste dishes such as the oyster lollipop in tempura, panko and teriyaki sauce; oysters in vegetable vinaigrette with Pedro Ximénez; oyster with red curry sauce; or amb granissat de poma, llima, cogombre, api and mint; a mes d’arròs a la llauna amb semicuita oyster and sea nettles, between d’altres. The prices of the menus range from 35 to 45 euros.
