On May 29, the roads of Tarragona will be dyed pink again with the celebration of the Mussara Reus, one of the most representative cycle tourism marches in Catalonia and one of the most massive in Spain. There will be three different routes adapted to all levels. The most demanding route will be 188 km long and have more than 3,400 meters of elevation gain, with up to 7 mountain passes. The intermediate will be 135 km and 2,500 meters and the shortest 95 km and 1,800 meters.
The test that will feature the former Tour de France winner, Óscar Pereiro, faithful to this cyclist, will debut a new exclusive jersey design for this test, in pink and navy blue.
The novelty of Mussara Reus 2022 is that Movistar adds the event to its Women in Bike initiative, born in 2021, to encourage female participation in cycling events. In the last edition of the Reus event, 30% of the participants were women.
Thus, Mussara debuts in this collaboration, so that their respective road cycling events can be part of the Movistar Women’s Circuit. A project that will add up the accumulated kilometers of all the women who participate in these events and that will collect them in a classification to promote female cycling tourism 365 days a year, uniting the physical with the digital.
For this, it will be necessary for the participants to be registered in Strava. They will enter the classification and these kilometers will be added to a platform where they can enjoy a series of incentives as they accumulate kilometers.
