Ernesto González and Toni Carlo will sing in Torredembarra in favor of Ukraine

«Musicians, in addition to doing concerts because we like it and it is our profession, we have to try to spread peace and all the causes that we believe are noble. We have the most important thing, the convocation of many people in front of us, and we can directly send all the necessary messages”, says Ernesto González. The Torrense musician and his partner in the group Viento del Norte, Toni Carlo, will offer this Sunday, at 12 noon, a solidarity concert for the benefit of the Ukrainian people in the Plaza del Castell de Torredembarra. Admission is a voluntary donation.

“This action is to help Ukraine, but also to claim the end of all the barbarities that are daily in the forefront: child abuse, human rights violations, gender violence, inequality between people and so many causes that should be eradicated Toni and I are a bit idealistic and dreamy, our vital principle is equality between human beings and live and let live as a benchmark of life, “says Ernesto.

The two singers will perform their show Together on stage, with which they are on tour – they premiered it in March at the Luz de Gas venue in Barcelona. They will be accompanied by a band made up of Carles Domingo Triquel (drums), Emilio Ruiz (piano) and Luis Fernández (bass). His repertoire fuses songs by artists and groups of different styles, such as Sau, Joan Manuel Serrat, Joaquín Sabina, José Luis Perales, Los Secretos, Roberto Carlos or Antonio Flores.

“The best form of integration is plurality and harmony between all music, since music is universal and culture is the heritage of the human being, regardless of race, language or place of residence,” he says.

altruistically

All the money raised will go to Caritas, an entity that will be in charge of counting it and depositing it in the official bank account destined to help the people of Ukraine. «The only requirement that we musicians put is that no one charge anything and the full amount goes to Ukraine. For this reason, I think that the people who will come are sufficiently conscious to contribute what they consider appropriate to enter the venue, ”says Ernesto. At the entrances there will be some ballot boxes for attendees to deposit their contributions.

«Plaza del Castell is the ideal place for the concert, due to capacity, structure and accessibility -there is a public car park 100 meters away-. It will be theater-like, with seats for the public », he concludes.
