The City Council of Deltebre has urbanized the area around the center of Jesús i Maria. An action that has allowed increased access to the Josep Maria Torres sports facilities and to the College of the Assumpció amb l’arranjament i pavementació d’parquing for more than a hundred vehicles and the construction of a passarel·la d’accés per a vianants per als equipaments detallats.
The works have assumed an investment of 400,000 euros and have been partially financed, with an amount of 119,000 euros, by the Provincial Council of Tarragona. According to the mayor of Deltebre, Lluís Soler, they have allowed “to dignify and value the central area of Jesús i Maria, along with improving the mobility and access to the main equipment that are the engine of activity”.
Beyond the access and parking itself, the action that has been carried out during these darrers mesos has also consisted of the expansion and urbanization of the unfinished roads of the roads affected by the works, the burying of the electric line of l’avinguda La Pau in the tram corresponding to the equipment, the location of urban furniture and automatic gardening, and the painting workshops of the Cambra Agrària. Because of the millions of sports facilities, these have consisted of the construction of toilets and dressing rooms for the Pavelló Josep Luque, the installation of a reversible grandstand to provide coverage both inside and outside outside the camp, and protection tanks for the stands, among other actions.
It should be noted that within a couple of weeks the construction and paving works of the La Pau neighborhood will begin, which will complement the urbanization of the central area of Jesús i Maria.
