Cambrils, venue for the Catalan Women’s Hockey Championship U17

Cambrils will host this coming weekend the Catalan U17 Women’s Roller Hockey Championship. A competition organized by the Cambrils Hoquei Club and in which eight groups will participate: Cerdanyola CH, CP Voltregà, CH Mataró, PHC Sant Cugat, Palau Plegamans, CH Caldes, Girona CH and CP Manlleu.

The competition format will be group stage, with the participants divided into two, and then a knockout stage.

Group A: CP Voltregà, Cerdanyol CH, CP Manlleu and HC Palau Plegamans

Group B: PHC Sant Cugat, Girona CH, CH Mataró and CH Caldes

The best two of each group will advance to the semifinals and the winner of each of them will play the grand final that will be played at the Palau Municipal d’Esports de Cambrils on Sunday 15 at 6:15 p.m.

The presentation ceremony of the competition that took place this Monday was attended by the Councilor for Sports of the Cambrils City Council, Natàlia Pleguezuelos; the territorial delegate of the Catalan Skating Federation, Benedicte Piquer; the president of the Cambrils Hoquei Club, Jordi Fernández, and the vice president of the entity. “I am sure that during these days we will be able to see high-quality hockey,” said Councilor Pleguezuelos.

In addition to this Catalunya Sub17 championship, the Copa Seleccion de Catalunya Fem13 will also be held in the coastal municipality on May 21.
