Boscos rejects the Ciutat de Repòs project with 95% of the votes

The residents of Boscos de Tarragona have shown this Saturday a resounding rejection of the project presented on March 14 for the Ciutat de Repòs i Vacances to become a youth hostel focused on mental health, with an investment of more than 15 million of euros.

During the call for consultation, 95% of the voters opted for “no” to the question that was put into the running, which was: “Do I agree that the Ciutat de Repòs i Vacances can host, integrate, supervise and train minors with a psycho-social risk factor?».

Overall, the “referendum” has had the participation of 676 people, according to the Associació de Veïns de Boscos, 646 of whom have opted to reject the proposal of the Generalitat de Catalunya. On the other hand, only 5% -30 ballots- have opted to give confidence to the planned investment in the regional dependencies.
